This is going to be an uber looooong entryMelaka/Melacca trip
The first time i felt so peaceful, so serene that I could hear birds chirping around me when i wake up like literally.
I think this is the first time I stayed over in a kampong. I’ve been to kampongs, stayed over for a day but never slept overnight before. I didn’t stay in an old wooden kampong, but a normal Singapore, looking terrace made of stone. The house was circled by a garden that had mango trees and rambutan trees.
The only irritating thing was the mosquitoes. I’m afraid that every time it bit me, I’d get dengue or aids or something. LOL. Ok that was mean but yeah. And of course no kampong would be a kampong without lizards. Omfg i think i’ve been cured of my lizard phobia being and hearing the lizards every hour once at least. Unless im in the car or shopping centre.
I’m typing this blog entry on my lappy MSWORD since there’s no internet. Sitting on the veranda and in front, beside me are all the neighbours.
The town is a small one in Melaka, Durian Tunggal (Lone Durian), where everyone knows everybody. It’s still a nice place with air conditioning and hot water. LOL. And I adapted quite well to this environment.
It was a 2.5 hour journey from second link. No jam because well, its second link. As night fell, I looked at the sunset as the car drove past fields, coconut and rubber plantations. When the moon rose and the sun finally set and the sky was blanketed with stars, the road became super dark at some areas coz there wasn’t any road lights. I slept for about half an hour and when i awoke, the road infront of me was dark, even darker then driving under the tunnel.
I ate the best ever nasi lemak for breakfast. Hahaha. Yup nasi lemak.
Went to this kenduri (some sorta family gathering) yesterday. Kampong ppl are so kpo and they like to stare i realise. Ok of course i didn’t know that i’d be going to tat kenduri so i was of course in jeans. -.- but still, well... there was this one makcik who really pissed me off saying my magnet bracelet was fake. Nuuuuuget. -.- so annoying. So what if you payed RM$300+?? Bleahx
And for dinner yesterday i had the 2nd best fried kway teow ever. First still goes to Lestari at Yishun. =)) My favourite local dish is fried kway teow and nasi lemak have i ever told you? And if tom yam weren’t a thai dish it’ll be my top most favourite. LOL.
Slept early coz there’s basically nothing to do and watch here since im not 5 yrs old i can’t play the toys that ain has. -.-
And the final day, travelled ALL the way to segamat which took almost 2 hours of driving!!! to eat satay
but i have to admit, the best satay i ever ate. I ate 14 sticks of beef and chicken satay ALLL BY MYSELF! haha fattening
*caution do not read if feel squirmish*
The owner of the satay place was again one of my mom's friend's relatives.
They have this cute cat which was given to them by someone who found it
His rear left feet had been purposely chopped off
when i saw him, i wanted to cry and beat the shit out of the person who'd done it
how can anyone be so fucking evil!!!
CURSES UPON THAT PERSON!
the cut was clean as i saw the bone.. straight cut. =s
my mom was alr in tears
i thought of my cats at home then and how lucky they were
you know why his legs got chopped?
he was stealing food. FOOD! can u imagine?!?
every living thing has the right to live!
=(
here's a picture of the sad little(now happy) cat
and thank you so very much for accompanying me when i was there
if not for you, i'd have died of boredom. =) love love
once i got back home, sleepless nights welcomed me. -.-
projects due...
slept a total of only like 3 hours max from sun-monday. hahaha
reached home and die on my bed. LOL
a new pathway has just begun
and as i begin to walk on the path, full of possibilities, happiness and probably sadness,
i know i've made the right decision in stepping on that first brick on the road
because i wont be walking on it alone
